I talked to the CEO of the Mountaineers about my concerns regarding mountain safety and Alpinist Magazine and Editor Katie Ives lack of concern for mountain safety and promotion of the idea that climbing is dangerous which is responsible for climbers needlessly dyeing.
I also covered my concerns regarding climbers use of drugs which has led to the death of many climbers and the criminal element in the wilderness which has led to the deaths of innocent hikers and mountaineers.
These are all issues which should be addressed in the next edition of Freedom Of The Hills.
Unfortunately his response is two years from now when their working on the new addition.
This answer is unsatisfactory.
He didn't address my concerns regarding Editor Katie Ives and Alpinist.
Why would you want to publish a book by the editor of a magazine that is responsible for the deaths of mountaineers and is using her magazine to promote her future book now and say it is going to be published by Mountaineers Books?
Climbers are dyeing now and they are publishing books now and the editor of Freedom needs to start thinking about these issues now.
My new book addresses these issues.
You can now better see why I am promoting a boycott.
I have been trying now for two months to talk to the Editor of Freedom Of The Hills and the person in charge of the safety chapter and Katie Ives editor at Mountaineers Books.
I will keep trying.

The climbers code is also relevant and states never do anything which is a bad reflection on mountaineering.
