The Remnant

Christmas Eve day I went to a small town in Eastern Washington where Mexicans live.
I went to the poorest section of this town and handed out presents to the children.
I have been to India three times and seen poverty but I have never seen physical poverty like this.
I have also never seen a people so blessed - the children were smiling and laughing, playing in their neighborhoods with their dogs, riding their bicycles, the mothers were busy preparing dinner with the best smelling cooking I have ever encountered, and talking to the adults they had a deep spirituality - the deepest spirituality I have ever encountered. When I apologized to them for how President Trump was treating them they told me the Lord would look out for them.
These people were truly rich in all the things that really matter and my rich neighbors in Issaquah, Washington are truly poor in all the things that really matter.
I left that day, after a delicious Mexican meal, knowing I had spent Christmas eve day with God's remnant.
Prior to Christmas Eve Wolfy and I spent the month doing our missionary work with the Spanish people who wait for work at Home Depot and if they had children giving them presents.
I am sure some of these Mexicans belong to the drug cartels but Christ came for them to.
I also had a present for the adults - my business card with the prayer of the heart - Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me, instructions for how to view the movies of God's creation and Wolfy, and a beautiful color picture of Wolfy on a mountain ridge with snow suitable for framing.
The Office Depot employee, who is also a photographer, liked this picture so much he ran off 60 free for me which I greatly appreciated.
