Prayer of the Heart

The Prayer of the Heart has saved countless people in the most dire straits for hundreds of years.
Its a meditative prayer that calls on the power of Jesus Christ.
Its also a prayer that summarizes the entire saving gospel of Jesus Christ
I like to give my card with this prayer to the homeless and tell them if they live this prayer will save them and if they die this prayer will save them.
Everyday they live close to death and they thank me. They understand.
The young man who was in the most dire straits I had ever encountered I gave him this card and told him the above.
He lived on his boat at Shilshole and every night when he became totally possessed by the devil he would go to the end of the dock and scream at the top of his lungs.
He disappeared for two years and everyone at the marina knew he had died.
After two years he showed up at my boat. I asked how he was and he told me he was clean - no drugs or alcohol anymore and he was working in the family business again. (He came from one of the most prominent and respected families in Portland.)
I was in shock and asked him how he had done this. He pulled my card out of his back pocket I had given him two years ago and said: "Everyday I say this prayer over a thousand times a day."

Suicide

For over a year I have been trying to help a girl who may be suicidal.
In April a good friend of mine and neighbor Rick Hall committed suicide.
He reached out to me for help but I had tunnel vision because of me helping the girl mentioned above. I didn't love my neighbor.
I am also trying to help my neighbors son who is suicidal.
After consulting numerous times with the suicide hotline and the crisis center I can tell you the worldly approach to our mental health crisis is not working.
The only approach that works is a spiritual approach.
I was in eastern Washington recently and a popular western song says the only way we can save ourselves now is by turning to Jesus Christ.
If we could just love our neighbor as Jesus says and say the prayer of the heart: Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me, our country could be saved.

ISAIAH 29

  13. But the word of the Lord was unto them
precept upon precept, precept upon precept;
line upon line, line upon line: here a little,
and there a little; that they might go, and fall
backward, and be broken, and snared, and
taken.
  14  Wherefore hear the word of the Lord,
ye scornful men, that rule...
  15  Because ye have said, We have made a
covenant with death, and with hell are we
at agreement; when the overflowing scourge
shall pass through, it shall not come unto
us: for we have made lies our refuge, and
under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

Ambulance Driver

An ambulance driver told me: "You would really think when a person is having trouble breathing you would immediately call 911."
He recommended I ask The Washington State Department of Health to investigate.

Peace and Joy At Last

My Mother is now reunited with her husband in heaven and their German Shepherd Major and has peace and joy at last.
No more earthly troubles and not being with her family in the end.
They are with their Lord Jesus Christ.

Note: Major was my parents German Shepherd during World War Two.
My Mother worked at night for the U.S. Weather Service at Port Townsend, Washington, which was the sight of a large military base.
Because women had been raped by service members the headquarters for the U.S. Weather Service in Washington D.C. gave my Mother permission to have Major with her at work.
